Results Pinecrest January 22 2014

In spite of the cold, 10 brave cowboys from the Pinecrest Posse put on their trap door underwear and braved the cold for the shootout at the Pinecrest Ranch on Wednesday, January 22. Well, I guess they were cowboys, some looked more like Eskimos.

When the smoke cleared, while it wasn’t a clean match, it was Niagara again in the number 1 position (enjoy it while it lasts!) with Mackinaw in #2 – and Bootleg Annie again #3. When asked what she is doing out behind the barn, she just smiles, but we still suspect that she is still out there practicing!

It was Doc H in #4, and Gouger just missed 5th place by ½ a second – a real heart breaker that one, but I think Griff is still smiling!

Did Niagara break the 30 second barrier or not? He would like to think so, but we are not sure the timer recorded the last rifle shot or not, so to an official member of the 30 second club, he’ll have to prove it again!

Chilidawg’s bad luck with his rifle keeps continuing – maybe you should buy your old one back from Missy – keep at it, it can be frustrating as we all know, but at some point you’ll be up there with the top few again!

Missy’s getting her stage times down – 75 seconds and no misses isn’t bad for a Sod Buster!

While we all sat around warming up and enjoyed the John Browning birthday cake (thanks Mackinaw) Sarge kept us entertained with his stories of the trials and tribulation trying to get Niagara Sportsman certified – maybe at some point we will have a local venue where we can shoot outside in the summer.

Lick your wounds, load up them ammo boxes, clean out them shoot’n irons, we are going to do it all again on Feb. 05.
