“Baby, It’s cold outside” (and inside too).

In spite of the cold weather, and the ice and snow at the old ranch, our first shoot of the new year was a resounding success, we had 11 shooters show up for the shootout at the Pinecrest Ranch on Wednesday Night, Jan 08-14.

Griff picked a challenging 2-1-1-1 left to right then a reverse 2-1-1-1 right to left that didn’t confuse the older posse members, but sure did confuse the sod buster, but that’s all part of the game!

Niagara Glen managed to get the act together, the ammo all worked and none of the guns jammed, although he didn’t break the 30 second mark, it was a clean match, and when the smoke cleared, he was #1.

Mackinaw was #2, a couple of misses slowed him down.

Bootleg Annie surprised us with a third overall, we think she’s been practicing out behind that barn of theirs, not just trimming the roses!

Chilidawg’s streak of bad luck with his rifle continued – even after he switched from 38 to 357’s. He’ll be a real contender though once he gets this sorted out.

Missy Pearl’s getting her own guns and holsters- while she finished last, it takes a while to get used to your rig- she improved at each stage and managed to drop her stage times by 70 seconds, first compared to last stage. Wow, if this improvement continues, she’ll quickly move up the ranks!
