Results Pinecrest April 2 2014

Here are the results from our shoot out on Wednesday night- 9 of the faithful showed up for the action. It was an interesting night- 3 of the posse forgot the keys (one actually had a bent key) to their shooting irons resulting a variety of swapping of guns and ammo around so everyone got to shoot, so we started a bit later than usual. We found out that it is a bit harder to hit targets when you are not using your own guns! Then the downrange exhaust fan didn’t work, so we had to limit the amount of shotgun shootin going on. When the smoke cleared (cough cough) it was Bootleg Annie as No. 1- congratulations, she was about due to get the crown. Gryphon moved up to #2, primarily because he had less misses than everyone else, again congratulations. Chilidawg’s bad luck continued with his new leaver, but just after he announced it was for sale, it started working ok. Mackinaw Joe had two good stages, then he got frustrated and finished the stage with a blast of 10 rounds from his shotgun- hard to miss with the shotgun, so we disqualified him!

Since we only had two shotgun rounds per stage, instead of the usual four, we decided that anyone who went under the 30 second mark would not be admitted to the 30 second club, sorry folks, you’ll have to try again at the next match! Of course, after the guns were all put away and locked up, we had to celebrate Sarge’s birthday with a toast, and it wasn’t Saspirellia either. Don’t know how long the toasting went on, but when I left the gang had decided that since it wasn’t legal to transport an open bottle and there was only one way to solve that little problem!
